What is your return policy?

We want you to love your purchase, and if for whatever reason you don’t, please follow the instructions below and we will do our best to make you happy. Customer satisfaction is our ultimate goal.

Returns Portal

To initiate a return or exchange, please visit our returns + exchanges website to start the return process. Using your order number and U.S. shipping zip code, you will be able to start your return or exchange process. Completing the process will provide you with a pre-paid return label. Please note a $5 return processing fee will be taken out of your return amount if returned on the original form of payment. If you need to make an exchange, please note that we only accept one exchange per product purchased. If you need to exchange more than once on a product, you will need to make a return and you will receive a refund. For any international orders, please email

Why do you have such a flexible return policy at Thrive Causemetics?

We hope to build trust with you and create a relationship for the long term. Standing behind what we create is a big part of that. We think many customers choose to shop with us because they know if their purchase isn't right, we'll work to fix it.

Do I need a receipt from my purchase?

Your receipt or order number helps us locate your purchase the fastest. If you don't have a receipt, we may ask for more information to better assist with your request.

Do you take everything back?

We do our best to accommodate most returns, but in some cases we cannot accept a return.

Is there a time limit? What if the item is used?

We will do our best to take care of you and treat you fairly. We ask that our customers treat us fairly as well. From time to time, we may not accept a return.

Why did you change your giving mission statement?

In November 2018 at the onset of the devastating Woolsey Fire in Southern California and the Camp Fire in Northern California the Thrive leadership team was moved to action and immediately sought ways to make a meaningful and supportive contribution to the relief efforts.
In order to be able to make a monetary donation in addition to Thrive product, we changed our giving statement on November 14, 2018 to allow us to be able to contribute in a way that would be the most meaningful for the victims. We committed to donating 100% of our profits from November 14 to wildfire relief efforts and shared the challenge with our online community through the Thrive for CA campaign. We also pledged an additional donation of $5 per repost of our Thrive for CA social post.
With the support of our incredible Thrive Tribe (customers and followers), we have been able to raise $250,000 for wildfire relief efforts. We far surpassed what we thought could be possible given how quickly Team Thrive and our community had to mobilize to make our idea a reality. We are overwhelmed by the power of community and giving and are incredibly privileged to be able to make such a meaningful contribution on behalf of our Thrive Tribe to several organizations that are making an important impact in this time of crisis.

Yes, we create 100% vegan + cruelty-free makeup and we never test on animals. We are certified by PETA's Beauty Without Bunnies program.

What are Thrive Rewards?

Thrive Rewards is our free rewards program that lets you earn points for referring friends, making purchases, and includes a birthday gift. You can redeem points for free makeup on future purchases! Create an account now to view the points you’ve been earning.

I’ve been earning points for the past 6 months?

Yes! We went back in time to give you points on all purchases you’ve made from 12/15/17 to 5/24/18. These points will appear in your account as a single sum. You will see points for any orders placed after 5/24/18 appear as distinct line items per purchase.

How can I earn points?

You can earn 100 points for creating an account, 1,000 points on your birthday and 1 point for every $1 you spend. You will need to enter your birthday in your account in order to automatically receive 1,000 points on your birthday. If your birthday has already passed, you will not receive the 1,000 points until the following year.

Can I earn points when purchasing a gift card?

Yes! You'll earn points on any gift card amount you choose to purchase.

Points equal how many dollars in redeemable credit?

Thrive Rewards gives you 1% back! For every $100 spent, receive $1 in credit.

How can I redeem my points?

Log in to your account to redeem points directly at checkout by clicking the “Apply All” button.

Why can’t I see the “Apply All” button at checkout when I have an auto-replenishment product in my cart?

Unfortunately, you are unable to redeem points on an order that includes an auto-replenishment product at this time.

Can I redeem points when purchasing a gift card?

No, you are not able to redeem points at checkout when purchasing a gift card.

Can I combine my points with other discounts and offers?

Yes! You can combine your points with other promotional discounts, offers and gift cards.

What happens to my points if I make a return?

Earned points from your returned order will be deducted from your account for any product that is returned. Points cannot be used towards our $5 shipping and handling fee.

What happens if I redeemed points and make a return?

The points used on the returned order will go back into your account.

Do my points expire?

No, your points never expire!

Are there any limitations on the numbers of points I can earn or redeem?

No, you will earn as much as you purchase. You may redeem as many points as there are in your account.

How can I see how many points I’ve earned from past purchases?

Log in to your account and click on your rewards history. You will see how many points you’ve earned on past purchases, when you have redeemed your points, any successful referrals, and birthday points.

How does the Refer a Friend work?

You can share your referral code with a friend who is not already a customer with us (through email, social media, text, etc.). Your friend must click the referral link, which directs them to our site with a pop-up that shows a discount code. Your friend will receive $10 off their first purchase of $50 or more (plus free shipping!). Once your friend completes their first purchase, you will receive an email stating your friend has made a purchase and that you have received 1,000 points ($10) into your account.

Does the referral code expire?

No, it does not! Your friend can click on your referral link at anytime to make their first purchase.
