Giving has always been at the core of Thrive Causemetics, and our commitment to making a difference recently took a new form with the launch of our Employee Volunteer Program. This initiative encourages our team members to actively engage with nonprofit Giving Partners, amplifying our impact in the community. In November 2023, our dedicated employees embraced this spirit of giving by volunteering their time and expertise at The TransLatin@ Coalition GARRAS Fashion Show Fundraiser.

The GARRAS Fashion Show, where GARRAS stands for Groundbreaking Activism Redirecting & Reforming All Systems, is an annual fundraising event with a profound purpose. It serves as a vital support system for the life-saving services provided by The TransLatin@ Coalition in Los Angeles, through the Center for Violence Prevention & Transgender Wellness. This was our first year providing makeup artistry for this event, and the experience exceeded all expectations, becoming a resounding success!

Since establishing a partnership with The TransLatin@ Coalition in 2022, we've witnessed their active engagement within our community. Their involvement extended to various in-office events and a joint presence at the 2023 WeHo Pride Parade. Having contributed over $400k worth of products to their community since 2022, we look forward to nurturing and expanding this partnership in the future.

For our team members, makeup transcends beyond the product; it's a transformative tool. It empowers individuals to embrace confidence, celebrate their true selves, and foster connections with partners and clients. At the GARRAS Fashion Show, our team applied makeup for approximately 80 models, all proud members and allies of the transgender community. This experience was not just a professional endeavor but a heartfelt way to express love and support for the LGBTQ+ community, creating memorable connections with the beautiful models backstage.
