All of our clean makeup and skincare is cruelty-free and 100% vegan. While the terms are often used interchangeably, they represent different standards and ethical commitments. A cruelty-free product is never tested on animals at any stage of its development, including its ingredients and final formulation. Vegan clean beauty products, such as ours, are formulated without animal-derived ingredients or by-products. This includes avoiding common ingredients such as beeswax, lanolin (from sheep wool), carmine (from crushed insects), and animal collagen.
Banned from Beauty™ List
Is Thrive Causemetics Clean? Absolutely. As proof positive, we’ve banned hundreds of ingredients that do not meet our safety and ethical standards with our Banned from Beauty™ List. Using clean ingredients in our makeup and skincare formulations is important for several reasons, primarily relating to skin health and safety. Our clean beauty products prioritize safety and use thoughtfully selected ingredients that meet our internal standards, avoiding certain ingredients such as sulfates and parabens. We are always growing and evolving this list as new studies and research become available.
Dermatologist-Tested
All of our vegan clean makeup and skincare products are dermatologist-tested, meaning all products have been evaluated and tested by a board-certified dermatologist to ensure that they are not associated with skin irritation or contact dermatitis. Additionally, our gluten-free makeup and skincare formulas are carefully formulated to minimize the likelihood of triggering sensitivities.
