We are proud to announce the launch of the Los Angeles Wildfire Recovery Scholarship, a $100,000 initiative to support students whose lives were directly impacted by the devastating wildfires earlier this year. Through this program, we’re awarding ten students with $10,000 scholarships to help ease the financial burden of pursuing higher education. This scholarship was created as part of our larger $500,000 wildfire relief commitment, and it wouldn’t exist without your support.

Meet Our First Scholarship Recipient, Jada
To launch the scholarship program, we surprised our first recipient, Jada Dean, with a $10,000 scholarship to pursue her dreams through higher education. Jada is a gifted dancer, a dedicated student, and someone who has faced unimaginable challenges over the past year. After her family experienced eviction, they were finally preparing to move into a new home, only for it to be destroyed in the Eaton fire. Tragically, they also lost their beloved pet.
To celebrate her resilience, we invited Jada and her dance team to what she thought was a professional makeup masterclass at our Playa Vista office. But behind the scenes, her family and friends were gathering for a surprise: the announcement that she had been selected as the very first recipient of our Wildfire Recovery Scholarship!
Despite everything she’s endured, Jada remains focused on her future and her education. This fall, she’ll begin her studies at Pasadena City College, with the goal of transferring to an HBCU. Her resilience, grace, and determination are truly inspiring, and we’re honored to support her educational journey.
Your Role in Supporting Wildfire Relief Efforts
When the Los Angeles wildfires devastated communities earlier this year, families were displaced, homes were lost, and everyday life was turned upside down. In the midst of that crisis, we turned to our Thrive Causemetics® community – and you showed up.
We sprung into action, with 100% of profits from a special day of sales dedicated directly to wildfire relief efforts. That incredible day of giving became the foundation for a larger, long-term recovery initiative.
Because of your support, we were able to commit $500,000 to wildfire relief, including:

$250,000 in immediate aid to frontline organizations like American Red Cross LA, World Central Kitchen, Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, Animal Wellness Foundation, and Pasadena Humane Society

$250,000 for long-term recovery, including scholarships, small business grants, and support for grassroots organizations
Your support not only provided urgent relief, but it helped lay the foundation for long-term recovery. The Wildfire Recovery Scholarship is the first step in that journey, created to empower students impacted by the fires to rebuild their lives and pursue their education without the added weight of financial barriers.
