      The best shade to counteract dark circles can vary. If the tone of your dark circles appears blue or green then you want to select a shade within the cool undertone family. If your dark circles appear purple then you want to select a shade within the warm undertone family.

      Concealer makeup should generally be slightly lighter than your natural skin tone, but it depends on how you choose to use it. For example, to brighten the under-eye area, choose a shade one to two shades lighter than your natural skin tone. If you’re looking to spot conceal blemishes, choose a shade similar to your foundation. On the flip side, if you're using concealer makeup for contouring, go one to two shades darker than your skin tone to sculpt and define areas like your cheekbones, forehead, and jawline.

    • Do you put concealer or foundation first?
