At Thrive Causemetics, we’re passionate about creating thoughtfully formulated products that are Bigger Than Beauty™ and help make a positive impact on the women in our communities. That's why for every product you purchase, we make a donation to our nonprofit Giving Partners whose missions are focused on empowering women.
Our Giving Partner, Per Scholas, is dedicated to creating pathways for overlooked talent pools and BIPOC communities to connect with in-demand jobs in the technology industry. Workplace diversity and inclusion is a known widespread issue within the tech sector. CNBC reported this year that on average, leading tech companies like Apple, Facebook, Google and Microsoft report that less than 9% of their workforce identifies as Black.
With offices in Texas, Ohio, New York, New Jersey and Washington D.C., Per Scholas is building a more diverse future for the technical workforce across the country: 90% of their students identify as Black, Indigenous or a Person of Color. Per Scholas’s training courses are offered to students at no cost to them, and Per Scholas graduates see an average salary increase of 300% compared to their pre-training income.
“The tech industry needs diverse voices now more than ever – women, BIPOC, and others who are historically underrepresented in the field. Through our unique and innovative training model, we are confident that we can help companies develop the diverse, sustainable talent pipelines they need.” - Plinio Ayala, President & CEO of Per Scholas
In March 2020, Per Scholas implemented a technology lending program to support learners who lacked access to the resources they needed to complete training remotely due to COVID-19. By the end of 2020, Per Scholas hopes to provide 1,000 students with the technology equipment they need to succeed.
Thrive Causemetics is proud to be a part of Per Scholas’ holistic student support services. Our full-sized products are available to any Per Scholas student who is in need of professional accessories.
