A Special Thank You From Karissa + Nalie

Over two years ago, I met Nalie Agustin during her first bout with breast cancer. She was one of the first beneficiaries of our Bigger Than Beauty® giving mission and one of the first people to ever try Thrive Causemetics® false lashes. My connection with Nalie was magnetic, and she’s been a friend of Thrive Causemetics® ever since.

In early January, Nalie received word that her cancer had returned and spread to her lungs. Without a second thought, I flew from Seattle to be with her in her hometown of Montreal. Miraculously, she had the energy to give me an express tour of the city, even though she had recently completed her first round of chemotherapy.

Nalie is the embodiment of all things Thrive Causemetics® and namesake of our iconic Infinity Waterproof Eyeliner shade, Nalie (Chocolate Brown Shimmer). This eyeliner cannot encapsulate all that she is, but whenever I see it I think of her: strong, driven and one of the most inspiring people I’ve ever met.

Thank YOU for making special connections like this possible. We are so grateful that you’ve chosen to join us in empowering women, like our dear friend Nalie, through our Bigger Than Beauty® giving mission. We couldn’t do it without you!

❤️  Karissa

Founder + CEO of Thrive Causemetics®

I noticed Thrive Causemetics a few years ago, and was happy that their waterproof semi-permanent eyeliners didn’t hurt or irritate my eyes! ( unfortunately more companies sell eye makeup that I *can*t* wear – than not! , I knew that Thrive contributed their make-up to women in need .. which I was happy to find out- But only tonight did I learn about Karissa meeting up with Nalie,,what Nalie has been through , and all that Karissa and Thrive have done!

This story had me in tears. I’m on immunosuppressive drugs for my psoriatic and Rheumatoid arthritis. In October 2021 I had surgery for Melanoma. Then just this past Thursday 2/10/22 I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and I will be having surgery and treatment. My cancer isn’t as life threatening as breast cancer, but still very scary to me. I have been a RN since 1997 and was a certified nursing assistant for 8 years before that, so it’s very difficult no longer being the caregiver anymore. Due to my many illnesses and surgeries I had to quit working . I admire what you are doing and I pray for each and everyone of your customer’s who help your customers who have cancer, I pray for those who have cancer, and I pray for your company to be able to continue to do the wonderful work they are doing. God Bless.

I am so happy that I purchased a Thrive product, to help others with these dilapidated diseases. Makes me feel so good to help others with their health problems that, hopefully, can be solved.

Hope eventually they will be cancer free with people like myself buying
Thrive products to help with their beauty.

I’ve just placed my first order. My lovely granddaughter Kiley introduced me to Thrive. I’ve had a few go around with breast cancer and when we do the awareness walks our team is The Una Boober. But for some reason nearly all eye make-up now irritates my eyes- water until I remove it. Anyway she gave me Thrive mascara and I was able to wear it. I felt pretty again! I’m sure it goes for all, but, a southern woman just doesn’t go about “undone”. And I’ve had to for several years. It affected me though my family doesn’t understand. So, thank you for a product I can wear and feel proud that it goes to multiple wonderful causes. Win-win for all! Thank you!,

I just ordered a few thrive cosmetics mainly for the products themselves because they are clean and I’ve been unable to wear mascara, eyeliner and eyeshadow due to allergies and sensitivities. So I haven’t even received them too try them because I read and listened to the mantra and got so inspired and was touched so personally that I wanted to thank you up front before even trying any of the products. I try to choose products that give back or are made from recycled materials. I have developed auto immune issues and they really play with my body and are being linked to pollution , chemicals in the environment. So thank you for all your doing for women and the world!

I am the woman prevention specialist at Hudson Valley community services. My job entails on HIV, STI’s and HEPC testing and counseling.

I conduct individual interventions as well Women’s groups in the recovery center and individual sessions on seeking safety. The topics are PTSD take him back your power self-care healthy relationship and more. Topic that are very helpful to the Women I work with. However this make up is so empowering to those women I help and give them this gift for self-care. They send their love and say Thank you for making them feel beautiful when life hasn’t treated them beautifully.

Personally I also want to take this time to thank you for helping me bring my spirits up when I’m tired. As I as well need self care.

As I’m reading this I have tears in my eyes; that such a young beautiful woman has breast cancer ;that after her first round had it return to her lungs. I am a survivor of ovarian cancer from the time I was 37. My daughter, a former deputy sheriff, had a stroke at the age of 35. After intensive therapy and treatments, she has everything but her short term memory. The stroke left her with seizures… Now my fire captain son has been diagnosed with prostate cancer at the age of 43. Both of my children’s illnesses are considered presumptive because of their work.
I’m loving everything I try from Thrive Causemetics! My ultimate goal is to switch out most of my skincare and makeup toThrive. My hat’s off to Karissa, an amazing young woman, for dreaming this beautiful dream. I hope we continue to hear about how Nalie is doing. I know she’s in my heart and prayers! Thank you for what you do Thrive!!

Wow. Just wow. I’m a new customer to Thrive & thought I couldn’t love this line of makeup more. But to read this post & others to see how this company is supporting women —shout out to Nalie—-I just ordered your namesake eyeliner not even knowing the back story & just know I’ll think of you when I put it on & keep you in my prayers. You got this, Girl!

Much love to Thrive for walking the talk & being the good. Even more reason for me to continue supporting you & spreading the love.

I too have breast cancer. Lost a breast last July with a failure rate of 75 0/0. I am 70 and because of all the prayers I received I came thru it with flying colors. Two days after surgery I was back at work push mowing lawns. This Spring they found lumps in other breast but want to wait and redo mammogram to make sure cancer hasn’t returned.
