Bigger Than Beauty™ Annual Impact Report

Bigger Than Beauty™ Annual Impact Report

With support from YOU, in 2020 we gave back to over 200 nonprofit Giving Partners that support women and their communities. We’re filled with gratitude for the work that we’ve been able to accomplish together during a year that was extremely challenging. To us, being kind and being of service to others is what it means to be Bigger Than Beauty™. We’re so thankful to have you as part of our Thrive Causemetics Family.

Here are some of the causes + communities you helped us give back to in 2020:

First responders
Women experiencing homelessness
Women fighting cancer
Families facing food insecurity
Racial justice advocacy
Grocery + restaurant workers
Women surviving domestic abuse
Underserved marginalized youth
Healthcare professionals
LGBTQ+ advocacy organizations
Women veterans

Together, we were able to:

  • Donate products and funds to 200+ nonprofit Giving Partners across the country dedicated to helping women and their communities thrive.
  • Launch the Thrive Causemetics $1 Million COVID-19 Response Fund to support those impacted by COVID-19.
  • Raise essential funds for our Giving Partners, Meals on Wheels and Feeding America, to provide 1 million meals to people facing food insecurity.
  • Donate over $100k to our Giving Partner, Baby 2 Baby, who is helping families facing poverty receive basic necessities like diapers, clothing, cribs and more.
  • Provide over $650k in Thrive Causemetics products to Frontline Workers working in grocery stores, restaurants, hospitals, clinics and nursing facilities across the country.
  • Dedicate 100% of profits from our Moisture-Enriched Hand Sanitizer to our Giving Partner, Black Women’s Health Imperative, who is improving health for Black women + girls.
  • Pledge an additional $5 million in products + funds to our Giving Partners who are combatting root-causes and symptoms of systemic racism.

We are so excited to see the impact we can make with you, our Thrive Causemetics Family, in 2021. Together, we're Bigger Than Beauty™

On payday I’ll be buying for sure. I don’t mind paying more for a good product, especially when part of the profits go to helping charities. Thank you Thrive for doing such great work!

The one that is dear to me, is the women experiencing homelessness. I was there at one point. I didn’t have anything to protect my skin. I ended up with huge brown blotches on my face. It’s so important to have something to put on your face to make you feel better about yourself. So thank you from someone who was there at one point. It is such a huge deal!!!!!

Thank you so very much for following up with your promises, it means a lot to me personally, especially going through MLD alone and afraid. I made it thanks to my brother’s stem cells however, it still means so very much to me personally. Life can be scary honestly and getting through what I’ve gotten through, means a lot to me.

    Sincerely,

    Katie Markiewicz, BSN RN

I just want to say thank you to those who recognize the issue of homelessness. I never would have thought this would happen to me but it did. The bad part about it is not only did it happen to me but it also happened to my mom. It has been rough on me the past couple of months but I know things will get better. I was recently released from prison bc of some bad choices due to a bad lifestyle. I am now working to be a better person and build a better life for me and my mom. I’ve learned so much good and bad. I now know that focusing on the good and being a good person brings good results and that’s why I thought I should say thank you!

As a RN, I appreciate what thrive is doing to alleviate the pain so many folks have gone through these past almost two years. We need to love & take care off each other & I appreciate a company that makes a good product & want to also give back to help those who need a helping hand. With so much fear & blame goi g around, it’s refreshing to find a company whose bottom line is bigger than mere profit. I pray that this year will surpass your expectations & that you continue to bless women & nonprofits that are helping those in need. This will be my first order but I need to familiarize myself with all your products first. I learned about you from my daughter who bought her first kit not too long ago. Love your mascara because it’s waterproof & I tend to cry a lot for & with those I care for. Blessings!

Hello, I am so happy to find your site ! I , myself, have been battling stomach cancer since May of 2020. My journey is not yet over even after 3 months of chemotherapy ,6 weeks of radiation followed by surgery to remove my entire stomach as well as my spleen. Even after all of this I still had to go through another 3 months of chemotherapy. Thank you for all you are doing !

I am happy and proud to be a customer for a company who believes that a big part of its mission is giving back, especially to women and children.

I have hesitated to purchase your products before, as one can never be certain that a company that “says” it donates to women’s causes actually does so.

Now that I have read more information about this company’s charitable activities, I feel more certain that people are actually being positively impacted by the company’s charitable activities.

I am going to suggest that more of the company’s time and charitable activities be centered around the homeless women in this country. When one is homeless, it is virtually impossible to get a job, as it is virtually impossible for a woman to perform basic personal hygienic activities, such as showering and odor reduction during her period. Sometimes women even lack feminine personal hygiene supplies, as they are quite expensive. Keeping their clothes clean is also quite challenging, as some women’s temporary street shelters have been “cleared” by the authorities, so they literally have no clean clothes to change into. Their needs are vast, and usually made worse by the judgmental community systems in which most of them live.
Shelters are not usually a viable option, as they are normally full, and women who go there are usually separated from any of their male children age 12 or older. Those poor kids are sent off to the “adult male” sections of the shelter, and on the male AND family sides of a mixed shelter, theft, filthy conditions and violence may be rampant.

Please consider my suggestion, and at least think about devoting a higher percentage of your charitable contributions to homeless women and their families. Please also consider finding ways for women and their families to keep their cherished pets with them, as these animals are an integral part of any family, and often the very last tie that homeless people have to their former, “regular” lives. I hope you have not minded reading this comment through to the end. I am so disheartened by the worsening homelessness problem in our country. I would never survive on the streets, as I am in very fragile health and on oxygen. I am very aware that there are homeless people who do not survive their own personal ordeals on the streets. It makes me cry sometimes, to even imagine the callous way we, as a people, often treat the less fortunate as if they are invisible, or even beneath our contempt. Please, please do more to help. Please.

Thank you so much for reading this.

Being a cancer survivor (breast) …. I appreciate the work any and all supporters to those in need.

I mostly would like to acknowledge the navigators for breast cancer victims at Arnett Hospital, Lafayette – Indiana.

My navigator came to ALL appointments prior to the mastectomy & after. She was always there for questions & pushing the medical staff to help.

Anyway – that’s about it…. I’ve been involved with helping others since a teen.

Blessings to you & your staff, Patsy Healy

I am very impressed to see where these donations go! I am a breast cancer survivor 3 times and still fighting! I have a granddaughter on the front lines of Covid! A resident doctor who never complained about what she had to do during the pandemic! I Love your product! More important where the money goes! I thank you for all the people you help!
