At Thrive Causemetics®, we are proud to partner with over 600 nonprofit Giving Partners across the globe. National Nonprofit Day is a powerful reminder of the importance of supporting organizations that uplift communities in need.
To celebrate this important day, Thrive Causemetics® and Bigger Than Beauty Skincare® joined forces to give back, with volunteer efforts at two remarkable nonprofits: Mary’s Place in Seattle, WA, and Upward Bound House in Los Angeles, CA.
Making an Impact at Mary’s Place – Seattle, WA
On Tuesday, August 13th, our Seattle-based team spent the day volunteering at Mary’s Place Family Center In The Regrade to celebrate National Nonprofit Day. Our team members served meals to families experiencing homelessness and organized an activity table for children, bringing moments of joy and creativity to the shelter.
Mary’s Place, a nonprofit organization serving Seattle and King County, has been providing a safe haven for women and families experiencing homelessness since 1999. With three emergency family shelters in King County, they offer vital resources such as housing and employment services, as well as a supportive community for those in need. Mary’s Place is committed to helping families move from homelessness to stability, and we are honored to support their mission.
A Day of Fun at Upward Bound House – Los Angeles, CA
In Los Angeles, our team celebrated National Nonprofit Day by volunteering at Upward Bound House on Saturday, August 17th, for their Annual Summer Fest. This vibrant community event is a day of connection, celebration, and fun for the families residing at the shelter. Our volunteers hosted a Thrive Causemetics® booth, providing product samples and engaging in activities for children. The day was filled with exciting events, including food trucks, raffles, and various family-friendly offerings.
Upward Bound House is dedicated to eliminating homelessness among families with children in Los Angeles. Through housing, supportive services, and advocacy, they empower families to transition from homelessness to permanent housing. Their work directly impacts the lives of families, helping them build brighter futures with the resources and support they need.
