Is it better to put setting spray before or after makeup?

Typically, you use setting spray to lock in your look after applying your makeup or after each step of your makeup routine. That said, you can also actually use setting spray right after applying skincare and before putting on your makeup. Doing so can give you a flawless skin base to work with when you apply your makeup. Another hack is to mist setting spray right before blending any of your makeup to prevent a streaky finish. The key is to work fast so that the spray doesn’t set before you blend. 

How long does setting spray last?

Our setting spray should hold your look in place for 16 hours. If you need your look to last longer than this, you can also re-apply the spray as needed.  

Is this a continuous or manual spray

Our Set + Refresh Spray is a manual misting spray component.

Can this be used to intensify my powder eyeshadows?

You can absolutely use the Set & Refresh Spray to intensify your powder eyeshadows. Our CEO and founder, Karissa, loves to suggest misting your eyeshadow brush before dipping it into your eyeshadow for an intensified pigment. You can use this technique with both matte or shimmer powder eyeshadow formulas.

When in my routine can I use this?

We created this product so that our customers can use the Set & Refresh Spray throughout their entire makeup routine and refresh their skin throughout the day. You can use it to prime + prep your skin, set your makeup at the end of your routine, and freshen up your makeup look throughout the day. Slightly shake the bottle and hold the spray 8-12 inches away from your face. With your eyes closed, spritz the Set & Refresh Spray 2-4 times to set your makeup in place for up to 16 hours. 

Will this setting spray breakdown my SPF?

Using our Set & Refresh Spray will not affect your sunscreen or SPF products. If you use the Set & Refresh Spray over any of our SPF products, we recommend applying SPF products fifteen minutes before any sun exposure and then spritzing the Set & Refresh Spray for proper protection.
