Frequently Asked Questions
What does a lip liner do?
A lip liner, such as our Lip Filler Long-Wearing + Plumping Lip Liner™, is a must-have in your makeup bag because it defines the shape of your lips, prevents feathering or bleeding, enhances lipstick color, increases lipstick longevity, and creates a plumping effect.
Will this feather + bleed into my wrinkles?
We love that our Lip Liner formula is powered by our Semi-Permanent Micropigments™ which deliver no-bleed color, ensuring it will stay in place all day.
Does the plumping effect tingle?
Our Lip Liner does not contain any ingredients that could cause a tingling or burning sensation similar to other plumping lip products on the market. Our Lip Liner is powered by our Revitalizing Lip Quench Technology™ which includes a moisture-rich blend of meadowfoam seed oil, jojoba oil, and shea butter. It plumps the lips by providing deep hydration. The moisture fills out the fine lines, typically caused by dehydration and gives the appearance of fuller lips.
Can I use this lip liner all over my lips?
Yes, our Lip Liner provides your lips with long-lasting coverage and a hydrating finish. You can apply it all over your lips or you can layer your favorite Impact-FULL™ Lipstick shade for a bold finish.
Can I make my lips look bigger with lip liner?
You sure can! The technique, often referred to as overlining, involves slightly extending the natural shape of your lips to create the illusion of fuller, plumper lips.
Start by prepping your lips with a scrub and lip balm to ensure your lips are smooth and hydrated before applying your lip liner. Choose a shade that is slightly darker than your natural lip color or the lipstick you’ll be applying. A neutral, nude shade works well for a natural look, while a slightly darker liner can add definition. Overline only in key areas: Focus on overlining the center of your lips (both top and bottom) rather than the entire lip line. After outlining, softly blend the lip liner inward towards the center of your lips. Lastly, apply your lipstick or lip color to fill in your lips, blending it with the liner.
